Tiamat's landmark 1997 gothic masterpiece, A Deeper Kind of Slumber, returns via Back on Black, capturing the band's darkest, most hypnotic electronic-infused metal journey in definitive reissued style.
Following up on their monumental Wildhoney masterpiece, Swedish innovators Tiamat completely shed their remaining death-metal skin on A Deeper Kind of Slumber. Spearheaded by mastermind Johan Edlund after relocating to Germany, this 1997 release is an intensely personal, hypnotic journey. It blends lush keyboards, theremin, sitars, and atmospheric cello/violin arrangements with fragile, melancholic vocals.
