‘Full Circle’ was a defining moment for Drowning Pool. Starting fresh with frontman Ryan McCombs, who had already made his mark with alt-metal band SOiL, the album saw Drowning Pool push their sound in new directions: a grittier, more atmospheric take on their metal foundations, threaded with acoustic textures and haunting post-grunge melody.

Despite the trials the band had already faced, including the tragic passing of their original frontman Dave Williams, ‘Full Circle’ debuted at #64 in the US Billboard 200 chart whilst the standout “37 Stitches” became Drowning Pool’s first single to break the Top 5 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

The album is fortified further by celebrated songwriter cameos – “Reason I’m Alive” was co-written with label mates Nikki Sixx [Mötley Crüe, Sixx:A.M.] and DJ Ashba [Sixx:A.M., Guns N’ Roses] whilst “Rebel Yell” brings an unexpected cover of the Billy Idol hit.

Meanwhile, the rousing “Soldiers” is one of the band’s most culturally significant songs, directly inspired by their USO tours. The song subsequently formed part of the band’s This Is For The Soldiers campaign, which rallied for better mental health care for veterans and saw tens of thousands of signatures.

Originally released in 2007, this long-awaited reissue (including the album’s first official vinyl pressing) offers the chance to rediscover one of the band's most intriguing chapters.
